Police are investigating after a woman attempted to force their way into a Wellington Point residence this morning.

Police are investigating after a woman attempted to force their way into a Wellington Point residence this morning.

Around 8.30am, the woman threatened a 36-year-old male occupant with a knife at the Hardy Road address while demanding property.

The woman is described as being Aboriginal in appearance, 175cm tall, of a heavy build and wearing an orange hi-viz shirt, dark pants and black thongs.

The woman left without stealing any property.

The man and his two children, who at home during the incident were unharmed
