Population in Redland Local Government Area

In the 2011 Census, the population was 138,666 people, and of these 49.0% were male and 51.0% were female. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people made up 1.9% of the population.

Median Age in Redland Local Government Area

The median age of people in Redland LGA was 39 years. Children aged 0 – 14 years made up 20.1% of the population and people aged 65 years and over made up 14.5% of the population.

Ancestry and BIrthplace in Redland Local Government Area

73.4% of people were born in Australia.
The most common other countries of birth were England 7.1%, New Zealand 5.5%, South Africa 1.5%, Scotland 1.0% and Germany 0.6%.
