Robbery with violence, Manly West

Police are investigating after a man was robbed while driving his vehicle at Manly West last night (14th July 2016)

Around 9.52pm the 28-year-old Wellington Point man was travelling in a westerly direction on Manly Road and turned right into Amberjack street.

It was at this point a white Toyota Hilux dual cab utility with a white canopy pulled up behind him.

A man exited the vehicle and approached the driver’s side door, opening it and demanding for the driver to get out.

The man, who was armed with a knife, forced the driver out and drove away in the vehicle.

The vehicle, similar to the one pictured, is described as a dark blue Subaru BRZ coupe with Queensland registration 014 TIA.

The 28-year-old driver was not injured.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone that might have been driving on Manly Road or Amberjack Street around the time of the incident and have dash camera footage to contact them.
