Fatal traffic incident, Redland Bay

A man has died after he was struck by two vehicles at Redland Bay earlier this evening.

Initial information indicates around 7.40pm the man was travelling along Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, when he stopped his car near Gordon Road to check on a snake on the road.

The man was struck by a vehicle travelling towards Redland Bay and then struck by a second vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

The man, aged is his 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The drivers of the other vehicles were not physically injured during the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
