Unlawful wounding, Thornlands
A man has been charged following an assault that occurred in Thornlands this afternoon.
Shortly after midday, police were called to a disturbance at an address on Woodlands Drive and located a 32-year-old woman with a puncture wound to her back.
She was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she underwent surgery and is in a stable condition.
A 29-year-old Thornlands man has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow.
