Serious assault, Capalaba

A 27-year-old Birkdale man has been charged in relation to an incident on a bus at Capalaba yesterday.
Police will allege about 6.20pm, a bus driver was assaulted at a Capalaba bus interchange following an argument.
The driver received injuries to his face and was conveyed to Redland Bay hospital.
Police will further allege the man assaulted a 70-year-old male passenger who attempted to intervene.
The man has been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, serious assault and public nuisance.
He is scheduled to appear in the Wynnum Magistrates Court tomorrow.
