Arson charge, Birkdale
A man has been charged following a fire at a residence in Birkdale early this morning.
At around 6am this morning emergency services attended a residence on Old Cleveland Road East following report of a fire at the location.
A 49-year-old Birkdale man was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with one count of arson of a structure or building.
He is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow, December 19.
