Serious traffic crash, Victoria Point

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Victoria Point last night (25 Nov 2015)

Around 10.40pm police observed a utility allegedly speed through a red traffic light before crashing with a hatchback at the intersection of Cleveland Redland Bay Road and Colburn Avenue.

An 18-year-old woman, the driver of the hatchback and her 48-year-old female passenger were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old man, the sole occupant of the utility, received minor injuries.

Police attention had earlier been drawn to the vehicle after it was driven through a nearby service station and were following from a considerable distance at the time of the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
